Halloween may be approaching, but Orange County has no shortage of other fun events this month, that have nothing to do with trick-or-treating. (Although who doesn’t love a good candy bar now and then?) From a gourmet Oktober-feast Beer Dinner at Oak Grill at Island Hotel in Newport Beach, to the annual Breitling Huntington Beach Airshow, mark some of these not-to-miss events on your calendar. Who wouldn’t enjoy wine tasting for a great cause, at Sunday in the Vineyard at the Marconi Automotive Museum, a charity benefit for the Marconi Foundation for Kids and Plasticos Foundation, with wine tasting by The Winery, a fashion expo by Saks Fifth Avenue and more. And for many of us who came of age attending concerts at Irvine Meadows, be sure to get tickets to the last shows before the venue permanently closes. Jimmy Buffett of Margaritaville fame and Orange County’s own Gwen Stefani will be the last artists to take the stage before the marquee lights go out.
